With less than two months left before A.P. testing, students are cramming their brains full of all the information they could possibly hold.  Finishing reading textbooks, taking review tests, practicing essays, re-reading textbooks, studying vocab... The list goes on. 

Last year the question arose, "should students be able to take a break after such rigorous studying and a year of A.P. preparation?"

Administrators are questioning whether or not students from A.P. classes should be able to watch educational videos and do, in comparison to the normal A.P. work, projects less-challenging.  I, as well as nearly all A.P. students, would answer this question with a resounding YES!!

The differences between regular classes and A.P. classes is very evident.  Put simply, A.P. classes have to learn a years worth of a class in only one semester.  And, not only is all this information crammed into half of year and your knowledge tested in May, the curriculum in A.P. classes is college-level curriculum. 

Students deserve to end the year with easier, less-stressful projects and classes than they previously endured all year long.  

Quite honestly, they learned all they were supposed to learn for the year, and should be allowed to spend the rest of the year recovering from such a difficult class and working yourself to near fatigue each and every night.  

Moreover, all movies shown after the A.P. test are educational and are shown for a purpose, and not just used to waste the time.  The majority of movies have projects assigned with them and are used to reiterate what they have spent the year learning.  

So please teachers, faculty, and all administrators, allow us our ability to take a little break and recover!  We have earned it!!
