For 14 days, the usual ease riding of the bus and driving to school will be a bit more difficult. Starting on the 16th, the school buses will be dropping of students who ride the bus in front of the school as usual, but pick up will be in the back of the school, what is commonly called the "horseshoe". This loop will also be used for Sundance shuttles, meaning that the area will be packed with tourists, stars, stalkers and locals, all in the Sundance mindset.
As a result, no one will be able to park in the horseshoe for the duration of Sundance. For some, this is an extreme inconvience.
"My mom's not gonna know where to pick me up. She'll get lost," said Ali Williams, sophmore, when informed about the new transportation plan for the next two weeks.
Some juniors and seniors will also not be allowed to park at the Eccles or front lot because they sold their parking pass for $60. Parents who will be picking up their kids at school should take into account that the busses usually are there from 2:10 to 2:35. To prevent chaos, please try to prevent from using the horseshoe at all for the next two weeks.
For the kids who will be participating in a sport during Sundance, the busses will still be available to them and will be meeting in the back where they will be picking kids up from school. During Sundance, there is only one game taking place at Park City High school. Jan. 23 starting at 7 there will be a boys basketball game for the JV and then following there will be a varsity game.
For the rest of the students who will be having to deal with the transportation as well as the crowds coming in and out of town, be safe and careful out on the town and on the streets; there are some crazy people coming to town.
