Spirit week, un-spirited?

Many students choose not to show their school spirit during Homecoming week's events and activities.

Park City- This past Homecoming week, students were given the opportunity to participate and show their school spirit by attending events and dressing up for themed days. Every day, students can show their school spirit by wearing attire fitting to each day's theme. Themes such as "Decades Day", "Tye Dye Tuesday," and "Solid Color Day," are a fun way of not only showing spirit, but also a way of unifying the students as a school. Although some students do go full out, dressing themselves head-to-toe to match these themes, many don't participate in any way. The Student Council works very hard, as well as the cheerleaders, in order to make this week of Homecoming as exciting and enjoyable for us as possible. It is extremely unfortunate that students don't take this week more seriously and show their gratitude for all the hard work put into this event-filled week. By dressing up and attending such events as the Bonfire, root beer chugging and marshmallow eating contests, students can enjoy coming to school and become unified as a student body. The homecoming football game was a huge success for our football team, and a great way to fill Park City High with spirited classmates and encourage more school support. So, from now on, enjoy the this week; dress up, go to the games, bonfires, dances, and events. But most importantly, show your school spirit!! Happy Homecoming!!!

Participate!

If people would start dressing up for Homecoming Week more, then others wouldn't be scared to be the only ones dressing up. Many of those that don't dress do so because of this very reason- so attend! Dress up! Participation will help make this a fun week!
