Park City- A recent dilemma has unfolded as more Seniors are unable to find parking spots each morning.

Frustrated students have begun to resort to parking in faculty and staff spots facing the consequences of one or more parking tickets.

Senior Lauren Rich said, " [faculty] spots by the football field should be allowed to students."  These faculty spots that are not right in front of the school should be allowed usage to students that cannot find another open spot in the parking lot, as everyday, numerous teacher spots are left empty and unused.

By making this line of white-lined spots subject to a "first-come, first-serve" basis, more students would be able to have access to more parking spots.  Besides, said Senior Alex Woodcock, "Many students get there before teachers do anyways."

Another parking problem also has come up this year, resulting in even more protesting Seniors and parking tickets.  The creation of Junior parking spots in the Senior lot has led many Senior drivers to complain. Rich stated, " We all had to park at the church lot when we were Juniors, they should too."  Woodcock agreed, " All spots in the Eccles lot should only be for Seniors."

Juniors should not be allowed to park in the Senior or Eccles lot because that parking should all be open to Seniors only.  By giving the Juniors spaces in those lots, many Seniors have been unable to find parking spaces themselves and in many cases, have received parking tickets for parking in spots not designated for students.

Staff members responsible for passing out parking tickets, which are each twenty dollars a piece, have covered more than enough student windshields.  Students need to follow the rules of the school parking lot, but many feel as if they are left with no other choice but to break the rules in order to have somewhere to park their vehicles.

Resolving this issue will definitely leave at least one person unhappy, but it must be decided who will have priority in the parking lot.  Students should be allowed to park in faculty spots that are unnumbered and open.

Likewise, we think it necessary that Juniors not be allowed to park in the Eccles or Senior lots. Many students would disagree, but this action is necessary to fix this stressful and frustrating problem.

GET JUNIORS OFF!!!

The reason why its called the senior lot is because it's meant only for seniors+staff if the juniors park in the other lots the problem would be resolved both for the students and the staff resulting in a better more controlled parking lot.

Space!

There are tons of extra senior spots in eccles back and even front lot. Juniors deserve atleast the full back lot. No one wants to park in the church lot, its a given.

exactly, and thats why there

exactly, and thats why there are going to be more junior spots added to the eccles

SENIORity

This year's seniors had ONLY the church lot last year. This is a matter of seniority- complain all you want, but juniors and sophmores have no claim over eccles or front lot parking spots.

more spots

the eccles lot should be used as a first come first serve parking lot. when i drive by in the mornings, the only spots in the eccles that are taken up are the ones for juniors so they deserve more spots.

its simple

IF YOU ARE NOT A SENIOR YOU DONT DESERVE TO PARK IN THE SENIOR LOT AND IN OUR AREA OF ECKLES. BE THANKFUL FOR THE SPOTS YOU HAVE INSTEAD OF COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SPOTS YOU DONT HAVE. WHEN YOU ARE A SENIOR, YOU WILL FEEL THE SAME WAY, GET OVER IT.

STOP COMPLAINING!!!!!

Junior stop your complaining it really isnt that big of a deal that you have to walk a little farther than the seniors! We had to do it. So when you are a senior you will have the right to complain about the current sophomore class driving and parking in your spots. Until then dont park in our spots!
