After the concessional speech McCain gave and Obama's victory speech, it is evident that both of these men deserve admiration and respect from every American citizen. Unfortunately, American citizens around the country have often expressed their negative feelings for opposing candidates. These adverse actions show the absence of support among voters and American citizens alike.

When I conducted a poll of my fellow students, something profound and frightening was unveiled. I found that while many students voted in this year's presidential election, even more had no clue on whom and what they were voting for.

Regardless of whether McCain or Obama wins the upcoming election, one thing is certain: America as a whole needs to come together in supporting our President. In dire times such as these, with a tolling war and a spiraling economy, America's unity needs to find cohesion.
